The Allen-Bradley 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive is an AC digital drive and a member of the PowerFlex 70 series of enhanced drives designed to provide state-of-the-art motor control solutions in most motion control process. This drive is designed to provide high-speed control over variable torque applications, using the Sensorless Vector control which is designed to adapt to an individual motor profile and the Vector control with FORCE Technology that is required for high speed and torque control without an encoder device. The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 has 400 Volts AC operating voltage class, with a 360 Volts to 440 Volts AC operating voltage range, and a nominal drive ratings of 8.7 Amps and 4.0 Kilowatts output power. This drive has a maximum short-circuit rating of 200,000 Amps using specified circuit breakers and fusible devices, and it has an efficiency rating of 97.5% with a 0.98 displacement power factor.
The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 provides protection against ground faults, line transient spikes, and excessive temperatures, and it also provides a BUS line voltage regulation with a programmed current limiting action for optimized use. Like every PowerFlex 70 drive, it is designed to faultlessly ride through 15 milliseconds of a power outage by using the inertia ride-through function which provides tripless operation using rotational energy from high-inertia, friction-free loads. The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 uses the Sinusoidal PWM control method with 4 KiloHertz of modulated frequency, and it offers 0.1% speed control with slip compensation. It has an adjustable output voltage which is a function of the output frequency and it provides output control with digital precision within ±0.01% of the set output frequency. The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 has dual independent acceleration/deceleration times, with multiple stop modes, and it offers a 110% overload capacity for 60 seconds duration. The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 has a 50 degrees Celsius operating temperature limit, and it is enclosed within a NEMA/UL Type 1 enclosure which supports zero stacking and conventional panel mounting. The 20AC8P7A0AYNANC0 has a net package weight of 3.60 kilograms (7.9 pounds), and total shipping dimensions of 171.7 x 234.6 x 179.8 millimeters (6.76 x 9.24 x 7.08 inches).
